Welcome To Speedyquip

Speedyquip was founded in May, 1966, in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
The business has been owned by the same family, since day one.
As a result of motorsport being active in 1966 and before, namely from karting to hill climbs, dragging, track racing, rallying, off road racing, stock car racing, also motorcycle racing, in various forms, it became apparent that there was a need for a niche business concentrating on performance parts.
Since 1966, Speedyquip concentrated on marketing modified camshafts and cylinder heads, exhaust branch manifolds, free flow exhausts and twin choke carburettors.
There were difficult times, as in 1973 with the first fuel crisis, and Speedyquip had to adapt, as times changed over the years and cater for the requirements of our customers. 

In 1978, a decision was made to include motorcycle accessories, parts and apparel, which was accepted without any problems by both motor vehicle and motorcycle owners,
Prior to that, car and motorcycle dealers in parts etc, were separate businesses.
Since the late 1970’s, regular visits were made to specific trade shows, around the world, in order to keep current with new developments and to source new product lines.
Some of the countries still being visited are in the East, Germany, Italy and USA.

Our product range, covers motor vehicles and motorcycles, including performance parts and accessories.
We carry and import American V8 parts and accessories.
We also have vintage and veteran car parts, and their tyres are imported regularly.
Speedyquip is also supplying neighbouring countries in Africa, and we see this as a growing market.
Our staff are important to us and some have been with us, for many years.
They are passionate about our vision, products, and customers, all of whom are very important to us.
Our staff should be both friendly to customers and give good service, at all times.
